"Miyagi Summer Kokeshi Festival in Sendai Izumi Premium Outlets" will be held from July 16th to August 28th to display and introduce Kokeshi dolls, which are traditional crafts of Tohoku, in various forms. A collaboration project between Kokeshi dolls and hot springs in Miyagi prefecture and Sendai Izumi Premium Outlets.

The highlight of the festival is the 12-meter-high balloon-shaped giant kokeshi doll "Hanako." It was created by the contemporary art unit "Yotta" with the motif of traditional kokeshi dolls that have been handed down in the six prefectures of Tohoku. The exhibition period is from August 5th to 14th, and the exhibition place is in front of Jun / Lope.


A reduced version of the giant kokeshi doll "Hanako", a large kokeshi doll "small flower" with a height of about 2 meters is also available. It will be used as a centerpiece of festivals alongside "Hanako" and as a photo spot. The exhibition period is from July 16th to August 28th, and the exhibition place is in front of Kaband Zucca.


During the festival, stamp points will be set up at 5 locations in the Sendai Izumi Premium Outlets to introduce each hot spring area and the kokeshi dolls related to that area. If you collect all the Kokeshi stamps, you will receive an original "Hanako-san Uchiwa".
