MyVoiceCom conducted a questionnaire survey (second time) on "kitchen cleaning" . The results of asking 10,453 men and women about the frequency of cleaning and the areas where they are dissatisfied with the lack of cleaning are summarized.

■ Frequency of cleaning the kitchen
More than 70% of people clean the kitchen by themselves. By gender, about 55% are men and 90% are women. The most frequent cleaning of people who said "do it yourself" was "once a week" at 16.2%.


■ Places where you are dissatisfied with the usual kitchen cleaning
When asked about places where people who clean the kitchen themselves are dissatisfied with the lack of cleaning, "ventilation fan, microwave oven hood" was the most common at 51.0%. Below, "drainage ditch", "wall", "inside the refrigerator", "gas stove", "grilled fish", etc. followed at 20 to 30%.


■ Places to clean in the kitchen
When I asked the person who cleans the kitchen where to clean it, 80 to 90% of the "countertop", "sink, around the sink", and "drainage ditch" "Faucet, faucet" and "gas stove" accounted for 50-60%, and "triangular corner", "floor", "microwave oven, oven, oven toaster" accounted for around 40%.

In addition, I don't usually clean much, but when I start to worry about dirt, "ventilation fan, range hood" (39.4%), "in the refrigerator" (25.5%) are the top two, and "wall" below. "Microwave oven, oven, oven toaster" and "drainage ditch" were less than 20% each, followed by "gas stove", "sink, around the sink", "cooking table" and "outside the refrigerator" at more than 10% each.

■ Problems with cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen
The following comments were also received from the respondents regarding problems such as cleaning the kitchen.

・ Since the kitchen is always dirty, it will be very helpful if you do the processing to prevent it from getting dirty because the number of cleanings will be reduced. (Male, 19 years old)
・ It is sticky with oil, but it does not come off easily and is sticky even after cleaning. (Male, 39 years old)
・ It takes too much time to start cleaning. I can't stop on the way. (Male, 46 years old)
・ It is difficult to clean the inside of the refrigerator. (Male, 47 years old)
・ Oil stains are terrible, but I'm worried if the detergent can be removed cleanly after using detergent (female, 24 years old).
・ Even if you try to clean the wall, it will get dirty immediately, so stress will build up. (Female, 31 years old)
・ I don't know how to clean the inside of the grilled fish. Frequency of tableware sponge replacement and sterilization method (female 42 years old)
・ Even if the ceiling of the kitchen is dirty, it is difficult to clean it, so I am in trouble. (Not reachable) (Female, 56 years old)

The survey was conducted from December 1st to 5th, 2016 in the form of an internet survey. The respondents were 10,453 men and women in their teens to 50s or older. Of these, 5,329 were men and 5,124 were women.
