Thai food that can be said to be a staple of ethnic cuisine. I found a product called "Thai Snacks Thai Deli", which is a canned snack of Thai food, in KALDI, so I tried it.

I bought two types, "Gapao Yakitori" and "Tom Yum Yakitori", each priced at 213 yen (tax included). There seems to be "Pakuchi Yakitori" as well, but it wasn't lined up at the shop I went to this time.

Charcoal-grilled chicken entwined with holy basil flavor and rich sauce with oyster sauce. When you think of Gapao, you think of the classic Thai food "Gapao Rice", but the original Gapao means only "Holy Basil".



The roasted chicken is about the size of a skewered chicken. You can feel the rich taste of oyster sauce and the flavor of basil that is comparable to it. More authentic than I expected!


The taste is quite strong, so it may be salty with just this. It may be a good snack, but it's not suitable for eating this much. It looks good if you put it on rice like Gapao rice!

Thai snack Tom Yum Yakitori

Charcoal-grilled chicken entwined with a rich sauce with sour and spicy flavors. This also imagines the classic Thai food "Tom Yum Kung", but Tom Yum itself means only "similar / mix" (Kung is shrimp).


A gorgeous taste with the spiciness of chili peppers and the refreshing lime. Every time you chew the meat, the tingling spiciness spreads. It hurts when I lick it! On the contrary, if you like spicy food, can you be satisfied?


Gapao and Tom Yum, a snack can that you can fully enjoy the taste of Thailand with different personalities. Ethnic food that is easy to store and enjoy is surprisingly valuable, so it is recommended for those who like it!
