In early April, LG Electronics will release the Futon Punch Cleaner (VH9231 series), which offers more than twice the suction power of previous models and inactivates allergens with a new HEPA filter.


The series is equipped with two semicircular punch plates that vibrate up and down at a rate of approximately 4,000 times per minute to "float" dead mites, feces, pollen, and dust entangled in bedding fibers to the surface for removal.

The newly adopted powerful motor that generates a strong airflow has improved the suction work rate to more than twice that of the previous model. In addition, the new HEPA filter coated with Yamasei's tannic acid, an allergen-dissolving material, has succeeded in "inactivating" more than 99% of the dust mites and other allergens it catches.


The design of the main unit is ergonomically sloped at a 40-degree angle, and the surface in contact with the futon is equipped with rollers to reduce the burden on the user's wrists and back. This reduces the burden on the user's wrists and back, and the device can be operated with minimal effort. The touch-panel operation buttons and one-touch removal of the dust box are also said to be user-friendly.


The main unit measures W20.0 x D41.7 x H26.7 cm and weighs 2.1 kg. The price for the main unit only (VH9231D) is 19,800 yen (tax included). The model with a "UV sterilization station" (VH9231DS), which sterilizes the inlet port, is priced at 29,800 yen.
