At room temperature, the cloth is stiff and taut, but it softens at hand temperature and transforms to fit the food it is used to wrap, such as bread, cheese, vegetables, or rice balls. After a few seconds of wrapping, the wrap cools and hardens, adhering to the food. It can also be used as a cover for bowls and plates.
