Toshiba Lifestyle will release two new vertical washer/dryer models equipped with a new course to prevent yellowing of clothes in mid-July.


The new models are equipped with the "Ag+ Hot Dipping" course, which prevents yellowing of clothes. The new models are said to remove sebum stains that cause yellowing by heating clothes with warm air before washing, and then washing them with a concentrated detergent solution made with a small amount of water and leaving the clothes to soak.

In addition, the standard course features "Ag+ antibacterial mega shower washing," which uses concentrated washing and a powerful water flow (mega shower), a "soak-soak" course for up to 8 hours for tough stains, and a "fashionable clothes tray," a washing part for delicate clothes.


The washing process uses "Ag+ antibacterial water," tap water in which silver (Ag) ions, an antibacterial ingredient, are dissolved, to suppress the growth of bacteria in clothes and prevent odors from room-drying and perspiration. The "Magic Drum" stainless steel washing tank has a glassy coating on the outside, which prevents the adhesion of "detergent scum" that causes black mold, while also sterilizing the washing machine itself with "Ag+ antibacterial water".


The lineup includes two models: AW-10SV3M (washing capacity: 10 kg, drying capacity: 5 kg) and AW-9SV3M (washing capacity: 9 kg, drying capacity: 5 kg). Both models measure W614 x D628 x H1,025 mm and weigh 49 kg, and come in two color variations, "Satin Gold" and "Grand White," respectively. Prices are open.
