NGP-FOTEC released a fully automatic window cleaning robot "Windowmate" made by Korea RF on September 1st. The price is 90,000 yen (excluding tax).

Windowmate is a cleaning robot equipped with a cleaning device that wipes dirt off windows and a navigation device that conveys movement. Each device has a built-in permanent magnet, and the window glass is sandwiched from the front and back by using the force of attracting each other.

When you press the start button, the size of the window glass is automatically measured, and the window is wiped and cleaned while spraying detergent. Finally, it returns to the starting point and stops.


Rechargeable cordless type that can be cleaned for about 90 minutes. Since it is attached by magnetic force, the device will not fall out of the window even if the battery runs out during use. There is also a program that automatically returns to the starting position when the remaining charge drops below 20%.

There are two models in the lineup, one for general glass with a thickness of 5 to 15 mm and the other for paired glass with a thickness of 16 to 24 mm. The size of the navigation device is 218 x 211 x 57 mm, and the size of the cleaning device is 210 x 208 x 50 mm. In addition to an operation remote controller that can adjust the speed and amount of detergent, a special cleaner (liquid detergent), microfiber pad, etc. are also included. It is said that it will be sold to general houses and commercial facilities with large windows and windows at high places.
