However, the friendship that transcends the species of cats is not limited to owls. Kenta Igarashi's latest work, "Cat and Friend Calendar BOOK2017," introduces the appearance of cats and different animals getting along with each other, which has become a hot topic on TV and SNS.

Most of the cats that appear in the calendar book are children who came to the owners of dogs, horses, and owls. However, the cats are accepted by different kinds of animals and live happily as members of their families.

・ "Ginkgo & Azalea & Kabosu"
Kabosu, an older sister Shiba Inu, was brought to the Animal Welfare Center due to the breeder's closure, but was pulled out by a Volandia group and came to the current owner in 2008. The calendar BOOK has 44 pages in total. Twenty-four pages of them are calendars that can be hung on the wall. The rest of the page has pictures and textual introductions of cats and different animals featured on the calendar. In addition, there are notes from veterinarians regarding simultaneous breeding of different species. Even after using it as a calendar, it can be stored on the bookshelf.
