"Citric acid compress" has a great effect on the stubborn scale of the bath! The dirt is soft just by leaving it

Let's get back the shiny bath!

Whitish scale that accumulates when you use the bath every day. When you see scale that sticks to places where you don't want to use abrasives, such as plastic and mirrors, you get impatient with "I need a tremendously strong detergent ...".

The author's house has also become like this ...

But don't worry. Stubborn scale stains can be easily removed by using citric acid , which can be purchased even at 100%! This time, I will introduce the method of "citric acid compress" that is easy to work on even during busy general cleaning.

Why citric acid?

Limescale is the dried and solidified minerals such as calcium and magnesium contained in tap water. Since it is an "alkaline" stain, it can be removed efficiently by neutralizing it with citric acid, which is acidic.

On the other hand, the rough stains on the bathtub and the slime on the back of the washbasin are scales. Please note that this is "acidic" and cannot be expected to be effective with citric acid.

Citric acid compress method

Things to prepare
100 ml of water
1 teaspoon citric acid
Spray bottle wrap kitchen paper

manner
1. 1. Dissolve citric acid in water to make citric acid water and put it in a spray bottle.

2. Sprinkle plenty of citric acid water on the areas where you are concerned about dirt, cover with kitchen paper, and cover with wrap.

Paste it so that it sticks tightly

Cover with wrap

3. 3. Leave it for several hours, remove dirt with a sponge, and wash it off (the soaking time can be adjusted from about 2 hours depending on the degree of dirt).

The author challenged with the back of the shower faucet, the shower head, and the helicopter of the mirror, which I was particularly interested in. After leaving it for about 3 hours, the soggy stains were removed with a sponge, and the sticky stains could be easily removed with a cleaning spatula. It seems that the effect was obtained by the citric acid sticking to the dirt with kitchen paper and preventing evaporation with the wrap. For scale that has passed a considerable amount of time, make appropriate adjustments such as "concentrate the citric acid water" and "prolong the leaving time".

Make full use of the spatula for cleaning

It became shiny!

For prevention, the usual "wiping"

The use of water is unavoidable in the bath, but to prevent water stains, it is effective to wipe off the water droplets on the bathroom with a squeegee or cloth so that no water remains. In order to reduce the burden of cleaning in the future, please try to incorporate it after general cleaning.
