"Ebisu Range de Somen" Review --Easy without a pot! Udon and soba can also be boiled

Make summer cooking even easier! I tried using the kitchen utensil "Range de Somen" sold by Ebisu.

Somen in the Ebisu range

As the name suggests, "range somen" is an item for cooking somen in the microwave. An elongated container with a drainer mesh.

Add boiling water according to the scale on the side of the container, and then add somen noodles. After that, in the microwave, boil for 2 minutes when using a pot. After heating, drain the water, rinse with running water and drain. I didn't feel the difference from boiling it in a pot, and it was finished with just the right amount of texture!

Hard to see but with scale

Add boiling water

Put somen noodles

Chin in the microwave

Throw away the hot water

Rinse with running water

If you drain the water well,

It's done! It has a good texture

I bought it thinking "I think it's so convenient ...", but it's certainly convenient to use. Not only does it save you the trouble of putting out pots and colanders, but it also has an excellent mesh design because it is for somen noodles. I was able to drain the water smoothly without any troubles such as clogging of somen noodles or running down. It can also be used to boil soba, udon, and tsukemen, so I think it's a handy item for people who often eat noodles.

"Ebisu Range de Somen" is available at supermarkets and mail-order sites, and the price range is around 350-400 yen. Why don't you check it out together with the "excellent range pasta " developed by Ebisu.
