Toothpaste, leave it to the robot! -"Toothbrush machine" perfect for free study during summer vacation

Cleaning robots, window cleaning robots, and dishwashers. Robots are starting to take care of household chores that people tend to find “troublesome”. As the spread of robots that clean the house progresses, expectations are rising for the emergence of robots that clean the human body. Would you like a device that automatically rubs your body, cleans your hair, and brushes your teeth when you lie down in the bath? It's especially useful when you're tired, right?

Simone Giertz, who lives in San Francisco, USA, has created an automatic toothpaste robot "Toothbrush machine" that fulfills the wishes of such lazy people. The production method is published in instructables.

"Toothbrush machine" is a toothpaste robot made by Giertz for a kids show. It is a full-scale (?) Device made by combining the one-board microcomputer "Arduino UNO" often used in electronic work and the robotic arm "MeArm".

To brush your teeth with the "Toothbrush machine", first apply toothpaste to your toothbrush. Then put on the helmet and turn on the switch. Then, the arm with the toothbrush that was folded on the helmet moves to the mouth, and the toothbrush is moved violently to the left and right 10 times to brush the teeth.

When the switch is turned on, the arm with the toothbrush moves to the mouth and moves violently 10 times to the left and right.

When you finish brushing your teeth, the arm will automatically return to its original position! Is your mouth refreshing?

"Toothbrush machine" is still in the pilot version. You can only brush your front teeth sideways. Giertz himself admits that there is almost no toothpaste effect, and at the moment it is still only a "ponkotsu robot".

In fact, Giertz is a big fan of Reddit's "Shitty robots", a collection of footage of useless robots. "Toothbrush machine" posted a video on Reddit, thinking that it could join the ranks. Posts have gained a lot of popularity, and Giertz is flooded with requests to teach him how to make them. For this reason, the production method was released in instructables this time.
