How about a one-of-a-kind cute interior?
How about a one-of-a-kind cute interior?

Someday we will have to say goodbye to our beloved pets. I spend many days looking at the photos I have taken to heal my heart. Incidentally, the author once reproduced Pi-chan, a white paper bird, out of paper clay because it was too painful for her to do so.

I want to keep my pet's memories more real and close to me... Printmaker Shannon Broder fulfills this wish.

Broder creates custom-order pillows using photographs of pets.

Wow, it looks real!

The pillows are silk-screen printed with a photo of the pet sent by the client and filled with polyester wadding. The ink is water-based and non-toxic.

They can be purchased on the handmade goods website Etsy. After applying, send an e-mail to Broder with a photo of your desired pet. The quality of the photo will be reflected on the pillow as it is, so if you have any concerns, please consult with her (probably in English). Color photos will be converted to black and white.

Depending on the angle of the photo, the size is about 33 x 43 cm, and the price is about 10,000 yen, plus shipping costs from New York to Japan.

By the way, not only dogs and cats, but any animals are acceptable. The chic monotone color is great for interior decoration.
