Mitsubishi Pencil will release the gel ink ballpoint pen "Uniball Signo 307" using the next-generation plant-derived material "cellulose nanofiber (CNF)" on May 26th. The price is 200 yen per bottle (excluding tax).

Cellulose nanofiber is a new material from Japan that is made by finely loosening pulp to nano size. It has been attracting worldwide attention in recent years, and is expected to be put into practical use in various industries.

Mitsubishi Pencil has succeeded in putting it into practical use for the first time in the world by blending cellulose nanofibers as an ink thickener. The viscosity of the ink changes appropriately, and it seems that it is possible to write stably even in situations where the lines were easily blurred in the past, such as quick writing and left-handed writing.


There are two types of Uniball Signo 307 lineup with ball diameters of 0.5 mm and 0.7 mm. There are three ink colors: black, red, and blue.
