Most of the contents of general ice packs are substances called "super absorbent polymers" that are also used in disposable diapers. In addition to its high water retention capacity, the substance has the property of adsorbing odors, and it is said that it is also contained in commercially available deodorant beads.


Select the above-mentioned contents from unnecessary ice packs, transfer the contents to an appropriate container, and you're done. Please avoid the ones that are soft even when frozen, the ones whose ingredients are only water, and the ones whose contents are unknown.


That's all for a deodorant, but you can also enjoy it as an air freshener by adding an appropriate amount of your favorite aroma oil. In addition to relaxing aromas, you can use insect repellent aromas such as peppermint oil, citronella, geranium, and lemongrass in the future.

Decorate and decorate your interior

Most of the ice packs are colorless and transparent, so you can put them in a fashionable bottle or mix them with shells and glitter to decorate them. When I put paint in the coloring, it became muddy, so if you want to leave a sense of transparency, it is recommended to lay crushed ice or cellophane for the interior.

Don't throw it in the sink or toilet!

When throwing away the contents of the excess ice pack or deodorant, be careful as it will clog if you flush it into the sink or toilet! Dispose of it as combustible waste (even non-combustible waste in some areas). Also, in households with children and pets, be careful not to accidentally put it in your mouth.

By the way, it seems that the ice pack that can be used repeatedly has a limited life, so it seems better to start with the oldest one. Try this ice pack before throwing it away!
