White sauce recipe
White sauce material
・ Butter (15g (0.53oz))・ Cake flour (1.5 tbsp)
・ Milk (300ml (10.14us fl oz))
・ Consomme (1/4 teaspoon)
・ Salt and pepper (a little)
How to make white sauce
1. 1. Put butter in a pan or frying pan and melt it over low heat. When it foams, add flour and fry it with a wooden spatula.2. When the powder is gone, turn off the heat and add the milk little by little and mix. Add consomme.
3. 3. After adding all the milk, simmer over low medium heat while mixing with a wooden spatula until thickened. It's OK if it becomes thick enough to leave a spatula mark. Taste and season with salt and pepper.
When it cools down, it becomes thicker, so it's okay to turn off the heat until you think it's a little soft. It's lighter than the commercial product, but it's a finish that makes you feel the flavor of milk more.
The finished white sauce can be used for various dishes such as gratin and cream stew. You can easily arrange it by combining milk and boiled vegetables to make a soup, or mixing it with rice to make it risotto-like. Even if you have a cold, the recommended gentle taste will be finished.
It can be stored frozen for about a month, so it's a safe white sauce even if you make a lot of it. How about using it as a delicious way to use milk?
