Michael Chou, a US resident, has developed the Midnight Scoop, a scoop that can easily scoop up ice cream with ease. He is currently seeking investors on the crowdfunding site Kickstarter. He has already succeeded in raising $127,855, far exceeding his goal of $17,500, and has decided to commercialize the product.

Various technologies have been utilized in scoops and spoons for scooping tickle ice cream. The technology incorporated in the Midnight Scoop is "a shape that allows a natural grip in the direction that is easiest for humans to exert effort.
