Kyle Hoff and Alex O'Dell of Detroit, Michigan, USA, invented the "Floyd Leg" because they found it troublesome to carry large tables and desks when moving. They thought that if table legs could be removed, moving would be easier, so they created the "Floyd Leg," a table leg that can be easily attached and removed with a clamp.
To make a table or desk with the "Floyd Leg," all you have to do is buy a board of your choice at a home improvement store and attach the "Floyd Leg" to the four corners of the board. Although not as strong as a table/desk with braces, it will be strong enough to withstand normal use.

The great thing about the Floyd Leg is that it can turn almost anything into a table, as long as it is board-like. Whether it is a found board or an old, discarded door, it can be turned into a table.

The "Floyd Leg" is available in two lengths: a 40 cm version is $179, plus $65 for shipping to Japan; a 75 cm version is $189, plus $75 for shipping to Japan.
Kyle Hoff and Alex O'Dell also sell "Floyd Shelf," which turns boards into shelves. This one costs $85 with $32 shipping to Japan.
