On November 25, Protechtia will release "Kokoiban no Mask KateProtector," a mask made of non-woven fabric processed with a new catechin technology "CateProtect" that has anti-viral function. The price is 480 yen (excluding tax) for a bag of three masks.


Kateprotect is a new anti-virus and anti-bacteria technology that the company has been developing in collaboration with Osaka University. The mask uses a four-layer filter system that includes a filter coated with Kateprotect and a high-performance melt-blown filter with a virus droplet/bacteria filtration efficiency (BFE) of 99% or higher, effectively removing various viruses, bacteria, pollen, and fine particles.


The mask has a spacious omega-pleated structure around the mouth, soft ear straps that do not cause pain, and skin-friendly thermal bonded fibers. The size is 225 x 117 mm.
