From Tanita, a limited edition item designed by the popular American fashion doll "Barbie" is now available. From today (February 20th), pre-order sales have started on the official shopping site "Tanita Online Shop".


The lineup consists of three products: body composition analyzer, pedometer, and digital cooking scale. The main body is organized in image colors such as pink and emerald green, and has a design with Barbie's silhouette and logo.

In addition to high-precision weight measurement in units of 50g (1.76oz), the body composition analyzer can measure and display 9 items such as body fat percentage, BMI, visceral fat level, and muscle mass. In addition, it is equipped with a "step-on function" that turns on the power just by riding and a "ride pita function" that automatically identifies the measurer registered in advance. There are two colors, pink and black, and the price is 12,500 yen.



The point of the pedometer that can be used just by turning on the power is the large and easy-to-read LCD screen. Equipped with a 3D sensor, it can accurately count the number of steps regardless of where or in which it is worn, and it can also be placed in a bag for measurement. The price is 3,500 yen.

The digital cooking scale uses tempered glass for the weighing pan, making it easy to clean even if it gets dirty. Weighs up to 2 kg in 1 g increments. The price is 4,000 yen.


Pre-orders will be accepted until 14:00 on March 23rd. The products will be delivered sequentially from March 24th. Along with the start of reservations, it will be sold in advance at Barbie's flagship store "Barbie Harajuku" (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) from February 20th.
