Pilot's oil-based marker "Permanent marker"
The pilot has developed another great ink

The oil-based marker "Permanent Marker" released by the pilot on May 8th. The newly developed ink makes it difficult for the pen tip to dry, and under the company's test conditions, it is said that "writing can be done within 24 hours even if the cap is removed."

This is epoch-making because I have the experience of forgetting to close the cap of the oil-based marker and not being able to write. But is it really okay after a day? I was curious, so I tried it.

There are two types of pen tips: a medium-sized round core (permanent marker 100) and a medium-sized flat core (permanent marker 400). It is a dark handwriting that sets off when written on paper, and the color is vivid. The impression so far is that it is an ordinary oil-based marker.

Then the experiment is finally started. Remove the cap, leave it lying down, and check if you can write at regular intervals.

16 hours after returning home and coming to work. Although it was a little faint at the beginning of writing, the ink was immediately restored.

Still more!

And 24 hours later. At the beginning of writing, I thought that ink would not come out at all, but after drawing a few lines, I returned to the original handwriting. It didn't go smoothly from the beginning, but this is amazing!

Recovery is fast

What about other oil-based pens?

By the way, how long does it take for a general oil-based marker to become unusable? If the result is the same, the impression you just made will be wasted.

What about the usual oil-based markers?

So, when I verified it with an ordinary oil-based marker, writing became difficult in about 7 hours.

Oil-based marker that has dried
The faintness became severe from around 6 hours, and after 7 hours, it was unexpectedly irritating ...

By the way, if it is an oil-based marker with ink (pigment) remaining, it can be revived by immersing it in ethanol etc., so please try it.

Oil-based marker and ethanol
Put a small amount of ethanol in the cap, close it and leave it for a while to recover.

However, I don't think there are many homes that have ethanol at home, so it's a nice point that it doesn't dry easily even if you forget to close it. It seems to be useful to have one "permanent marker" that does not require you to close the cap each time even in the scenes where you frequently write, such as moving work and task creation.
