Then let's make it ourselves! So, this time, I would like to introduce a simple "glass wind chime" sold at the 100-yen shop "Daiso" and a remake idea using what you have at home. Both can be returned to their original state, so you can enjoy changing the pattern every season.

With masking tape

The masking tape that allows light to pass through is excellently compatible with glass. Just stick your favorite tape at random and it will transform into an original wind chime.


If you don't know how to paste it, we recommend cutting it into triangles and pasting it all over. You can do it with your child, so it's good for summer vacation work.

With excess manicure

Next, I will explain marbling using manicure. Since you can't make the same pattern again, it will be a wind chime with a lot of special feeling.


All you need is a nail polish of your favorite color (avoid quick-drying ones), a deep container that you don't mind getting dirty, and a toothpick. The container should be large enough to hold a wind chime.


Fill the container with water and let the nail polish drip directly from the bottle. If you drop the liquid directly below, it may sink, so the trick is to sprinkle it on the surface of the water.



After hanging all colors, gently move the water surface with a toothpick to create a marble pattern.


Gently apply the wind chime, keep it for a few seconds, and then slowly pull it up. When it dries, it's done.


By the way, even if you make a mistake, you can remove it with the remover, so please try again and again until you like the mixing condition and the position to add the pattern! Do not wash the nail polish left on the surface of the water, but scoop it up and wrap it in a tissue to throw it away.
