Bananas are sweet and tasty when well ripened, but they can become too soft when overripe. If you find that your bananas are ripe enough but not ready to eat, freezing them is a good idea. Here is how to do it.
How to
freeze bananas
Ingredients
- Wrap- Storage bag
- Lemon juice
Procedure
1. Cut bananas into round slices. 2.Sprinkle lemon juice over the entire banana to prevent discoloration. 3.
3. Wrap tightly with plastic wrap.
4. Put the bananas in a storage bag, remove the air from inside, seal the bag, and transfer to the freezer. The estimated shelf life is about one month.
The frozen bananas taste like thick ice cream when eaten as they are. Topping with honey or nuts will give it a more dessert-like taste. If crushed with milk in a blender or hand blender, it turns into a thick banana smoothie! We also recommend thawing it slightly and using it to make baked goods. If you defrost them completely, the texture will deteriorate and they are not suitable for eating as is.
Frozen bananas are useful in the freezer for snacks and breakfast. Try it with well ripened and sweetened bananas.
