Avocado, which is rich in nutrients that make women happy, is something you want to take every day. Recently, I've seen more and more "frozen avocados" in supermarkets, but is it a substitute for raw avocados? I tried "Dice Avocado" purchased from Tokyu Store.
This product is a quick-frozen version of moderately ripe avocado from Peru. It is cut into easy-to-use dice and can be thawed and eaten as it is. It depends on the room temperature, but it should be thawed naturally for about 30 minutes.
The texture is as thick as raw avocado, but the flavor is slightly inferior. There is also a slight acidity due to the addition of antioxidants (vitamin C) and acidulants. Maybe I'm a little reluctant to eat without putting anything on it?
So, I tried the arrangement that I always do (I recommend it not only for freezing, so please try it!).
■ Natto
Natto x avocado has always been a staple at my parents' home (natto is Takano Foods' domestic soybean natto). It goes well with rice so much that I don't need any other side dishes, but I was a little disappointed that the avocado lost to natto when it was frozen.
■ Miso soup
Before, when I tried adding avocado without any ingredients, it was surprisingly cool miso soup. The compatibility with frozen avocado was perfect. Even if you add a little to instant miso soup.
■ Avocado toast
Avocado toast, which was popular a while ago, is a way of eating that allows you to make the most of frozen avocado. Simply crush the thawed avocado, place it on mayonnaise-coated toast, add sliced cheese and bake (or add black pepper if you like).
The sourness that I was interested in becomes an accent, and the deliciousness that makes me addicted. It also has the advantage of being able to make it on a busy morning without using a cutting board or kitchen knife.
So, depending on the arrangement, you can enjoy frozen avocado as usual. I'm still unsuccessful in determining the ripeness, so it's also helpful to have avocado that's ready to eat. It's more expensive than buying it normally, but it might be useful to keep it in the freezer.
