With this product, which focuses on the "production area" of somen noodles, you can feel the commitment of various parts of western Japan where somen noodle making is popular. Honestly, when I tasted somen with a light feeling, "Somen is the same," there was a surprising difference, so I will introduce it first!

There are 5 types of somen in the set: Nara, Banshu, Shodoshima, Okayama, and Shimabara. "Kuzu Somen" is also included in the 30-piece set.

So to speak, somen's "rivals" are all in one place

The raw materials for somen are wheat, water, salt, and oil (and weather). In addition, all the products this time are made from domestic wheat and are made by craftsmen. These differences between the ingredients and the manufacturing method were clearly visible in the three points of smoothness, elasticity, and flavor even when eaten without adding anything. It's really fresh for the author who usually chose "Ibonoito" for some reason!

Like rice, the taste and texture vary considerably depending on the place of origin.

Personally, I like "Shimabara" which I ate for the first time

According to Mr. Somen Jiro and Mr. Sakaguchi of Sakari Noodle Factory who took the stage as guests at the tasting party, somen has a history of 1200 years and has been enjoyed by everyone since ancient times. Somen is eaten casually in the summer, but it has a different Japanese food culture than rice.

The price of somen is 2,000 yen for small (10 pieces) and 5,000 yen for large (30 pieces) (both tax excluded). It can be purchased at each Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten affiliated store and online shop. Somen, which can be stored anywhere, is perfect as a gift, so how about it as a greeting for midyear gifts and summer? Personally, I would be very happy if I received it!
