[Housework hack] Level up your drink with hard-to-melt ice ♪ Tips for making ice in your freezer

August, when the heat of the day continues like every day. Especially this year, when I spend a lot of time at home, I think I have many opportunities to drink cold drinks.

But don't you feel that the ice you make in your freezer melts quickly and your drinks quickly become watery? So this time, I would like to introduce two points to make "hard-to-melt ice" at home without relying on commercially available rock ice.

Use hot water

Commercially available rock ice is transparent and difficult to melt because it freezes slowly while removing air and impurities in the water. If you use tap water at home, bring it to a boil for a few minutes, expel the air inside, allow it to cool, and slowly pour it into the ice maker.

When you wake up, pour it gently

Freeze slowly

When you put the ice maker in the freezer, wrap it in a towel or spread disposable chopsticks so that it does not hit the freezer directly to prevent it from freezing rapidly. If you can afford it, you can throw away the water in the center when the surroundings freeze, and then pour in hot water again to freeze it.

If you have an ice tray without a lid, put it in a plastic bag and then wrap it.

The resulting ice has less white areas than when tap water is frozen normally, and it is also transparent and beautiful! Regarding the difficulty of melting, it is not so much that it is "dramatically difficult to melt", but the plenty of iced coffee was delicious until the end.

looks delicious!

Impression that it is hard to melt, although there is no dramatic difference

If you don't mind the cost, you can use mineral water (soft water). Compared to tap water, there are fewer impurities, so if you don't want to spend time, you may try it.

It takes longer than usual to freeze, but how to make ice that will give you the impression that it looks delicious when you visit. Give it a try this summer!
