"Tamago Bolo" is a sweet with a soft texture and simple sweetness. It's a standard snack for small children, but adults can feel relieved if they eat it once in a while. Introducing a recipe that allows you to easily enjoy such a taste. It is also useful for consuming potato starch, which tends to be left over.
There are three ingredients: egg yolk (1 piece), potato starch (60g (2.12oz)), and sugar (20-25g (0.88oz)). First, put the egg yolk and sugar in a bowl and mix them smoothly.
Then add the potato starch, mix it roughly, and knead it by hand to make a lump. It will be smooth if you transfer it to a plastic bag and squeeze it from the top of the bag. If it is very powdery and does not come together smoothly, add a small amount of milk to adjust.
When it becomes a lump with no color unevenness, it is molded into a sphere with a diameter of about 1 cm while tearing it into small pieces. Arrange them on aluminum foil and bake them in the oven or toaster oven. When using the oven, the baking time is 170 degrees and it takes about 10 to 12 minutes. When I used a Balmuda toaster this time, it took about 10 minutes to bake at 300W.
Rolled egg bolo baked in a light fox color. When you put it in your mouth, it melts with a crunchy texture and then crumbles. The sweetness is modest and the light taste with plenty of air is unstoppable with each grain! It is also recommended to spread the dough thinly and pull it out with a cookie mold instead of the spherical shape. It looks fashionable and saves you time.
Handmade egg bolo that does not add oil and fat, so the cooking utensils are not sticky and you can easily wash. If you have potato starch that you can't use at home, why don't you feel free to try it?
