Sweetened condensed milk with a gentle sweetness. Introducing a simple rusk recipe that makes the best use of its taste.

The only ingredients are French bread (sliced) and condensed milk. First, lightly heat the French bread in an oven toaster to dry it. The point is to set the heating power of the oven toaster to a low level so that it does not get browned.

Ingredients are condensed milk and French bread

First, lightly bake French bread and let it dry.

Take it out, arrange it on aluminum foil, and sprinkle condensed milk on it. It is OK if the surface is mottled. There is no problem even if you do not spread it.

Sprinkle condensed milk all over

Put it in the toaster oven again and heat it for about 5 minutes. When it gets a little browned, turn off the switch and let it cool while still in the toaster oven to make it crispy.

Heat again in the toaster oven

When the water is removed and it is lightly browned, it is ready.

The finished rusk has a crunchy texture. When chewed slowly, the sweetness of condensed milk gently spreads in your mouth. With its refreshing taste and crispy texture, you can eat as many as you like! The finish is fairly firm, so you can omit the drying process before applying condensed milk.

The refreshing taste and crunchy texture are behind.

A simple rusk that you can enjoy by sprinkling cinnamon or cocoa as you like, or adding it to ice cream. If you have excess condensed milk or French bread, why not give it a try?
