An expression of "water" that reflects the scenery and is dyed. Enchanted by the Japanese sweet "Mizu no Iro"

For summer souvenirs. Introducing "Mizu no Iro", a Japanese sweet with beautiful pale colors.

A product of the long-established Japanese confectionery store "Okashi Tsuchiya", which has stores in Gifu prefecture. It is sold only at stores, but it may be sold at some events and department stores. This time, I got it at the national confectionery corner of Takashimaya, Nihonbashi, Tokyo.

Although it is colorless and transparent, it expresses the "color of water" that changes by reflecting the scenery and seasons. Traditional Japanese sweets called Hoshikingyoku are made as thin as possible and finished in a flat round shape like water droplets. The price is 1,296 yen (tax included) for 10 pieces.

There are five colors: red, orange, yellow, green, and blue. Red is the color of "autumn leaves reflected on the surface of the lake", orange is the color of "mountain trees", yellow is the color of "autumn ginkgo trees", green is the color of "mountain trees", and blue is the color of "sky".

New colors will appear again if you stack them

The surface is crisp and delicate, and the inside has a jelly-like texture that slides on the tongue. You can enjoy the modest sweetness and the flavor of herbs that vary depending on the color.

The flavor depends on the color

With a cool taste, it is perfect for summer tea confectionery. It is a guarantee that it will be appreciated as a souvenir for those who like beautiful things. If you see it, please pick it up.
