The familiar tuna looks and feels great! I bought a canned product "Sea Chicken Fancy" developed by Hagoromo Foods.


Unlike flakes that are often used at home, canned sea chicken is packed in chunks. It's a special product made from seasonal albacore tuna. You can pinch it firmly with chopsticks, so it's like a snack. It's also good to sprinkle with salty sauce or ponzu sauce. It is also good to break it lightly and use it as an ingredient for salads and pasta. The moderately crunchy and non-greasy taste is more like chicken.







The price at the supermarket I went to was 278 yen (tax included) for one (75g (2.65oz)). It's more expensive than the flake type, but it makes you feel a little extravagant, so why not use it for a special occasion such as a supper?
