Heart-Shaped Pancakes Recipe

Ingredients for heart-shaped pancakes (serves 2 to 3 people)

150g (5.29oz) pancake mix
1 egg
100cc milk

How to make heart-shaped pancakes

1. Make the pancake batter as usual.

Heat a frying pan with a light coating of salad oil. Using a spoon, pour the pancake batter into the pan twice in a dripping pattern, crossing the tips to form a heart shape.

Cover with a lid and cook over low heat, turning over when bubbles appear on the surface.

Grill the other side over low heat for 1 to 2 minutes, then finish.

The trick is to bake the dough in a slightly vertical heart shape. This makes it easier to keep the heart shape even if the dough spreads or expands. At first, the dough tends to be awkward, but as you bake two or three more, you will get the hang of it.

Various hearts can be baked.

It's quaint how it's warped.

This heart-shaped pancake has a fun, irregular finish. You can make them small and pile them up, or make them big and pile them on top of each other. Feel free to experiment.
